Five days.
You keep taking payments the whole time.
Fear of the switch is the reason most owners stay on a system they have outgrown. So here is the whole thing: every step, who does it, and what it costs.

Day 0
A twenty-minute call
We confirm your real rate in writing, check your current agreement for an early termination fee, and tell you whether you qualify for Free POS. If the numbers do not beat what you have, we say so and you keep your Square.
JET does this
Day 1
Send us your menu
A Square export, a spreadsheet, or a photo of the printed menu. We build it: categories, modifiers, half-and-half pricing, happy hour rules. You review the whole thing before any of it goes live.
Ten minutes of yours
Day 3
Hardware arrives
Your terminal comes pre-configured with your menu on it, with whatever else you ordered. If your existing printer or drawer is ESC/POS, keep it; we confirmed the model on day zero.
JET does this
Day 5
Install, between lunch and dinner
We come to you. Square stays plugged in and live until JET has taken its first real order, so there is no window where you cannot take money. Staff training runs about fifteen minutes.
JET does this
Then
Your first full service on JET
Someone from JET is reachable by phone through your first Friday night. Not a ticket queue: a number a person answers.
JET does this
Already locked into a contract?
Tell us the provider and the remaining term on the day-zero call. If there is an early termination fee we tell you what it is, what we can cover, and whether waiting for it to expire is genuinely the better move for you. Sometimes it is, and we would rather say that than sign you into two contracts at once.
Before you switch, check the maths
Square charges 2.6% + 15¢ in person on its free plan. We charge 2.5% + 10¢. Whether that difference is worth a one-year agreement depends entirely on your volume, so work it out before you talk to anyone, including us.
Included in the move
- Menu rebuilt from your export, spreadsheet or photos
- Modifiers, sizes, half-and-half and combo pricing
- Your terminal delivered pre-configured
- On-site install between services
- Staff walkthrough on the day
- A human on the phone through your first weekend
The questions everyone asks
- What happens to my menu?
- We rebuild it from whatever you can send: a Square item export, a spreadsheet, or photos of the printed menu. Modifiers, sizes, half-and-half pricing and combo rules come across. You approve it before it goes live on any terminal.
- Do I lose my sales history?
- Your Square history stays in Square. You keep that account and can export from it any time. JET starts fresh on day one, so run last year’s comparisons out of Square’s reports.
- What if I am mid-contract with someone else?
- Tell us the provider and the months remaining on the day-zero call. If there is an early termination fee we tell you what it is, what we can cover, and whether waiting for it to expire is genuinely the better move. Sometimes it is.
- How long am I down for?
- You are not. The old system stays running until JET takes a real order on the new one. We install between services so the changeover happens in the quiet hour, not mid-rush.
- What does the switch cost?
- Nothing for the migration itself: menu build, configuration, delivery and on-site install are included. On Free POS the countertop terminal is also $0; handhelds, kitchen screens and kiosks are quoted separately. Below the $15,000-a-month threshold you either buy hardware outright or run Starter at $19.99 a month.
Start with the twenty-minute call
Your rate in writing, your contract checked, and a straight answer about whether the switch is worth it for you.
