The rate is the same on all of them

Four plans. One processing rate.

2.5% + 10¢ card present whichever plan you are on. The free one is the best one, because the processing pays for it. The paid plans are for shops under the threshold, or shops that would rather not commit.

The register itself, Oreon, inventory, staff and reports are the same on every plan, with no item limits. Free POS adds the terminal and everything beyond the counter because a year of processing pays for it. Starter is that register on your own device, month to month. Professional switches on the kitchen, online orders, delivery and loyalty for up to three registers.

Or no plan at all

Your own Windows PC: $60, once.

JET POS for Windows 10 and 11 runs the register on a PC you already own. The first 500 tickets are free with every feature on; then one payment of $60 per PC, updates included, no monthly fee. Online ordering, Oreon and card processing connect through a JET account on one of the plans above. Both no-fee routes, side by side

All of it, in one table

Including the rows that are not flattering. Anything quoted separately says so in the row rather than in a footnote.

Not sure which one?

Above $15,000 a month in card sales, Free POS is almost always cheapest. Below it, the answer depends on how much hardware you need.

Why is the free plan better than the paid ones?
Because it is how we make money. On Free POS you process cards through JET for a year at 2.5% + 10¢, and that pays for the terminal, the install and the software, so all of it is included. Starter and Professional exist for shops under $15,000 a month in card sales, or shops that would rather not commit to a processor. If you qualify for Free POS, take Free POS.
What is not in Starter?
The register itself is complete: menu, modifiers, split checks, offline mode, inventory, staff, reports and Oreon, with no item limits. What Starter leaves out is everything beyond the counter: kitchen display software, online ordering, delivery-app orders, driver dispatch, loyalty and handheld ordering. Those are Professional.
Can I use my own hardware?
On Starter and Professional, yes. JET POS runs on Android terminals and on Windows PCs, so a device you already own usually works. If you need one, the shop sells tested terminals from $299.99 with free shipping. On Free POS the countertop terminal is included. And if all you want is the register on a Windows PC, JET POS for Windows is $60 once after 500 free tickets, with no plan at all.
Is there a setup fee?
No setup fee on any plan. Menu build, configuration and training are included; on Free POS we do it on site, on the paid plans we do it with you remotely, and an on-site visit can be quoted.
Can I cancel anytime?
Starter and Professional are month to month with no termination fee. Free POS is a one-year processing agreement, because that first year is what pays for the terminal; after it, month to month.
Which plan am I?
Over $15,000 a month in card sales, Free POS. Under it and you only need a register, Starter. Under it and you want a kitchen screen, online orders or more than one register, Professional. The savings calculator prices your own numbers in about fifteen seconds.
