The processing on that volume is what pays for the terminal and the software. Below it the maths does not work and we will tell you so.
A one year processing agreement
That first year is what covers the hardware. Leaving early carries a fee, prorated against the months left, and we say the number up front.
Online ordering switched on
It costs you nothing and it is part of why the volume works. It also tends to be the part that grows the card sales in the first place.
Below $15,000 a month the free plan does not apply, but the processing rate is the same 2.5% + 10¢ on Starter at $19.99. The calculator works out which one you are. If what you are after is no monthly fee by any route, the no-monthly-fee page puts this plan and the $60 Windows licence side by side.

The questions everybody asks
- Is it really free?
- Yes — for eligible businesses. There is no monthly software fee and you receive a fully loaded POS terminal at no cost. The requirements are a 1-year agreement with our credit card processing (2.5% + 10¢ per transaction), online ordering activation, and at least $15,000 per month in card sales.
- What's the catch?
- No catch — we make our money from payment processing, not software subscriptions. You get lower processing rates than Square or Toast, and your terminal and software are completely free.
- What happens after the first year?
- After your initial commitment, you can renew on a month-to-month basis at the same $0 rate, upgrade to a multi-terminal plan, or cancel with no penalties.
- Can I add more terminals later?
- Absolutely. Your first terminal is free. Additional terminals can be added at our standard rates. Volume discounts are available for multi-terminal setups.
- What if I need to cancel early?
- Early termination fees apply during the 1-year commitment period. The fee is prorated based on remaining months. We'll work with you to find the best solution.
- Is there a setup fee?
- No. Setup, installation, training, and onboarding are all included at no cost. We even help you migrate from your current POS system.
- Do you offer a standalone credit card machine?
- Yes. If you only need to accept payments, we sell a standalone wireless card machine for $199 one-time. It works over 5G or Wi-Fi ($20/month connectivity fee), prints receipts, and requires no POS system. Processing is the same low 2.5% + 10¢ per transaction.
